Jacquie Nutt BSc, GradCertEd, IBCLC

Lactation Constultant

T: 022 528 2466

Jacquie Nutt is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who has worked with breastfeeding mothers since 1991 in Zimbabwe and then South Africa.   She started as a lay breastfeeding counsellor for La Leche League Zimbabwe and became an IBCLC in 1999.  She served as a ministerial appointee to the Zimbabwe Infant Nutrition Committee for 2 years.  In South Africa, as well as running a private lactation practice, she offered training to health professionals interested in lactation and in counselling.  She helped to start a milk bank in South Africa, Milk Matters in Cape Town, which is now supplying nearly 30 hospitals in the Cape Peninsular.  A decade later, she started an in-hospital milk bank at her local hospital, which she ran as a volunteer for 2 years.

She has a passion for seeing mothers reach their goals of nurturing and mothering their babies through breastfeeding, and looks forward to being of service in New Zealand.
